RACE FOR THE CURE
Heading down the highway at 5:00 a.m. to Wichita to run Race for the Cure and take in a little retail therapy with all the shopping Wichita has to offer. There were 7,700 participants. The event seems to get bigger each year.

What a relief . .
The long anticipated first game for Joe as the new head coach for MHS Indians. I can only imagine how nervous he was as I know I was super nervous. It was a great game and it went all the way until the very end. Yes, there was not any time left on the clock when MHS scored the game winning touchdown, beating the #2 ranked team in 6A. The opposing team's crowd was immediately silenced and the MHS crowd was in a roar. Joe had some family come to the game to cheer him and the Indians (which is one of the pictures above). I spent the day in KC shopping before the game (I decided to celebrate in advance with some shopping knowing MHS would pull out the win, at least that is the way I am going to explain my purchases to Joe).

I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD BE A . . .
SOCCER MOM!! It is not that I do not like soccer it is just that neither Joe nor I have ever played soccer. We each have our other sports of choice. However, Kira asked if she could play soccer last spring. We let her and she is actually very good. We have enjoyed watching her play. She played her first tournament this weekend.
Keylee's first shiner
Keylee got her first (and hopefully last) black eye. She was climbing at day care and fell. Her day care provider felt terrible but I was not surprised it happened given how she is around the house climbing all over everything. Tonight, I had to stop her from jumping off the couch!
