Christmas Bead Exchange

This year Tanna, Debbie and I decided we would exchange Pandora beads as our gifts to each other. We met at Coco Bolos for some DELICIOUS food and drinks. We purchase our Pandora Beads at Pfeifley's Jewerly Store. As you can see from the display in the photo below we had several Pfeifley sacks lined up on our table for our bead exchange. As we were eating and exchanging our beads, in walked the owner of Pfeiley's. He was pretty impressed with our display and bought a dessert for our table. I am sure he thought that was the least he could do given our advertisement for Pfeiley Fine Jewelers at our table.

Winter RUNderland

It was cold cold cold . . . . . but many runners braved the cold for the Winter RUNderland Race. The Junior League partnered with the Manhattan Running Company to sponsor a race to raise money to buy bunk beds for our local Crisis Center.

A VISIT WITH SANTA

Joe and I took the kiddos to see Santa. One kiddo is noticeably missing in this picture (Keylee). Keylee was not going to have anything to do with Santa. However, she was agreeable to picture once we were far away from Santa.

DODGE CITY - THANKSGIVING 2009

One of Kira and Keenan's favorite things to do at my parent's home is drive their golf cart. We were glad the weather cooperated enough for them to be able to drive the golf cart this year. Keylee isn't big enough to drive the golf cart but she loves to ride the same tricycle I rode when I was a kid.

It is hard to believe that Keylee turned 2 years old on Saturday.

MHS FOOTBALL SEASON HAS COME TO AN END

Although there were times during this season when I didn't think the season would ever end, it broke my heart Friday night when the season did end. Joe's first season as head coach was so exciting and he could not have asked for a better group of kids or coaches to work with. Now that the season is over my blog updates will likely slow as football is really the only thing that goes on at our house (just kidding). Nonetheless, I hope Joe can find some time to relax as he is already in my ear about what he has to do now to get ready for next year. When I saw this picture in the Mercury (our local newspaper) it totally broke my heart. The picture is Joe walking to the locker room after the game Friday night.

And it continues . . . .

The season continues for MHS. The Indians beat Maize on Friday night to advance to the second round of the playoffs. The Indians are now 10-0 and face Wichita Heights on Friday night in Manhattan. It has been very exciting (and stressful) around our house. The kids and I have been missing Joe as he spends hours and hours beyond the normal practice time preparing for practice and games (not to mention his high level of stress). He is fortunate to have a great coaching staff to support him and overall, it has been a great season. Keep it up Indians!!!
