SOCCER MOM!! It is not that I do not like soccer it is just that neither Joe nor I have ever played soccer. We each have our other sports of choice. However, Kira asked if she could play soccer last spring. We let her and she is actually very good. We have enjoyed watching her play. She played her first tournament this weekend.

Keylee's first shiner
Keylee got her first (and hopefully last) black eye. She was climbing at day care and fell. Her day care provider felt terrible but I was not surprised it happened given how she is around the house climbing all over everything. Tonight, I had to stop her from jumping off the couch!

A RIGHT OF PASSAGE
Doesn't every five year old boy have to get stitches? If so . . . . mission accomplished. Today, Kira and Keenan were at Joe's school with Joe while he was putting a desk together. They took parts of the box and made a mess. Joe gave them a broom and asked that they clean up their mess. Do they clean up their mess? No. But, Kira thought it would be a good idea to swing the broom around. The broom hit Keenan in the eye and Joe recounts that blood was everywhere. They were off to get stitches. This entire incident was harder for Kira to handle than Keenan. When I met up with Joe, Kira and Keenan, at the doctor's office. Kira was hysterical crying but Keenan was not crying at all. Kira asked me how long she was grounded. First, she has never been grounded so I was not sure why she thought she would be grounded. Second, I advised her that she is not going to be grounded because it was an accident. Kira responded "I should be grounded, I have scarred my brother for life."
The sisters giving Keenan a kiss to make him feel better.
